Italian coffee-inspired twist on the Espresso Martini

Instructions

This cocktail takes inspiration from the robust flavors of Italian coffee, combined with a touch of citrus and herbal notes to lift the spirit like a Tuscan sunrise. It's a twist on the classic Espresso Martini with a nod to Italian aperitivo culture. Ingredients: - 1 oz freshly brewed espresso, cooled to room temperature - 1 oz Amaro (preferably an Italian brand such as Averna or Montenegro for an authentic touch) - 1 oz Vodka - 0.5 oz Triple Sec or another orange-flavored liqueur - 0.5 oz simple syrup (adjust depending on the sweetness of your Amaro) - A dash of orange bitters - Garnish: Orange peel twist, and a light dusting of finely ground espresso beans or cocoa powder Instructions: 1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. 2. Pour the cooled espresso, Amaro, vodka, Triple Sec, simple syrup, and orange bitters into the shaker. 3. Shake vigorously until well chilled. 4. Fine strain into a chilled martini glass to remove ice shards and coffee grounds. 5. Express the oils of the orange peel over the glass, rim the edge with the peel, and then drop it into the cocktail. 6. For a final touch, lightly dust the surface with ground espresso beans or cocoa powder to awaken the senses with its aromatic presence. Glass: Serve in a classic martini glass to maintain the elegance of an Espresso Martini while showcasing the unique Tuscan twist.
